This paper aims to explore the phenomenon of Ayah Mertua videos in Japan, examining their impact on Japanese lifestyle and entertainment, as well as the cultural significance of mother-in-law and son-in-law relationships in Japanese society.
This study will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining content analysis of popular Ayah Mertua videos with in-depth interviews of Japanese viewers and creators of such content.
